Photo of the Week: Formation Flying in France

In this series, we feature a new photo or photo series each week! Send us your photos here for a chance to be featured.

This week's photo of the week was sent to us by Maxime Plé (@ple.maxime).

This photo was taken during a formation flight 30 nm south of Paris. Flying two APM20's in last turn for a parallel final on the two runways of our airfield. The airplanes are French-made 80hp trainers that cruise around 110kts with a very great fuel consumption, around 16 liters per hour.

I remember this flight was absolutely not scheduled, and after a few text messages, we were airborne enjoying the Friday evening sunset, one of the best ways for a pilot to begin the weekend!

Thanks for the beautiful photo Maxime!
