Newport, Rhode Island (KUUU)

I flew my wife and daughter from New Jersey to Newport, Rhode Island last week.  The airport charges a $10 landing fee and $15 to park overnight.  They waive the landing fee if you buy some fuel there, which is relatively cheap.  The FBO is very nice and the service is excellent.  Well worth the fees.

Uber is available to get into and around town once you tie the airplane down.  The airport is approx 5 km from downtown – super convenient.  Lots to see and do in Newport.  I highly recommend flying in for the day or staying for a weekend.

Cheers,
